In this Video our head coach Nick Gtn Mason tells you how to avoid common elbow and shoulder injuries caused by Calisthenics. He demonstrates the simple technique of repositioning your hands which changes the direction of your elbows. The two exercises used today was Dips and Pressups. Many of you may or may not know that these 2 exercises are foundation Calisthenics exercises. The problem is many of you do it in an incorrect form and suffer for it later.
TRY THESE SLIDING PUSHUPS (ADVANCED)
For all those with advanced strength I challenge to give this exercie a try. Not only is it tough on the chest but even tougher on the core. In this Video we see Gtn Fitness coach Nick Gtn Mason demonstrate how to engage and activate your core muscles. This is very overlooked by many, but iit is important to know that with a stronger core you will be stronger with all exercises you currently do and plan to do in the future.
THE PERFECT PULLUP
Many of you love to do Pullups but you may be doing it incorrectly. The big question is are you working predominantly your arms or your back. When you do Pullups correctly it will create a V Shape back and your back will be strong. Yes these are harder but if you want to do it, do it right.
DO YOU NEED A GYM FOR BIGGER OR STRONGER SHOULDERS?
Take 10 minutes out to learn the teaching points and positioning of my body so you can complete it with good form. When you have learnt it start with the programme below.

Handstand Pushups or Alternative - 4 sets of 8 repetitions. 1 - 1.30 minute rest between sets.
Planche Lean Pushups or alternatives - 4 sets of 5 repetitions - 1 minute rest
Handstand combination or alternative - 4 sets of 10 repetitions - 1 minute rest
Rear delt flys - 4 sets of 10 repetitions - 1 minute rest.
